STELLA JONES 1811

Stella Jones is from a private collection of Pamela
Jones from Ontario Canada, Stella was also Pam's
great-great grandmother. The letters of the alphabet
scattered throughout the sampler represent Stella's
brother, sisters and two cousins.

Stella was around 18 years old when both her parents
died and she had to raise the younger ones until they
married or left home to find work. This left Stella the
proverbial "old maid". The story of Stella continues and
it is quite interesting since at the end she did meet some-
one and eventually married.

The original sampler was stitched on a fine tammy cloth of
approximately 48 threads to the inch. The model was repro-
duced on 30 count Bedrock hand-dyed linen with GAT with
a DMC conversion. If you wish to purchase this design and
linen contact Kathy at madstitcher.com

The stitch count is 127w X128h.
